Three points!
FEATURES
Strong yet light!

By using polyester fabric instead of the conventional leather material, we were able to reduce the weight by over 15%. Of course, it has passed the shock absorption test, and its strength is the same as that of leather products.

Flexible customization

With a wide range of optional parts and a mechanism that allows you to adjust the depth of coverage, it can be used to suit the user's changes (growth).

Clean and clean!

The polyester fabric increases breathability! It can also be hand washed, so you can keep it hygienic at all times.

Thoughts on Head Guard Fit Development
STORY
The impetus for the development was a desire to make the product more comfortable and affordable as children grow.

Head guards, including items for people with physical disabilities, have a useful life period, and benefits are not available for three years after purchase, and replacements within that period must be paid for in full by the wearer. This means that for people with symptoms that change daily, or for children with disabilities who are still growing and whose heads change shape dramatically, they will soon no longer fit the body. In addition, custom-made products take time and money, and there is a risk that they will become difficult to use if the body changes because they are custom-made. To solve these problems, we decided to develop a product that can be used with a "semi-custom feel" and has a wide range of adjustments.

By adopting new materials instead of conventional leather, we have achieved improved functionality without compromising strength.

The Head Guard Fit can adjust the "head circumference" and "depth of fit" according to the user's condition, and the "protective range" and "protective function" can be changed by attaching cheek pads and head circumference pads (sold separately). The pads can be attached at any position inside the protective hat body. In addition, the protective hat body has a two-layer structure with different softness and resilience coefficients, which reduces thickness while improving shock absorption. It is designed to be lightweight and breathable so that it can withstand long periods of wear, and can be easily washed at home for hygienic use.

Listening to user feedback and trial and error

During development, we visited social welfare facilities and special schools for the disabled and had people who needed protective helmets try them on, observed their daily habits, and listened to the opinions of care staff and teachers to refine the design. There is no other head guard that can be used for a variety of purposes by attaching optional parts to the base protective helmet, and can be adjusted to fit the perfect fit by adjusting the depth of the helmet, and we received a lot of support in the final stages.

Changes to the stagnant welfare equipment and nursing care products market

Even though times are changing, I realized that there hasn't been much innovation in the welfare equipment and nursing care product industries. I would like to continue to work hard on product development, hoping that people with disabilities, the elderly, and everyone can live comfortable and lively lives every day.

The shape of the top of the head is different. The KM-30 has a cross shape, while the KM-400 has three vertical protective pieces. The KM-400 has a larger protective area.

The results of impact absorption testing based on a "drop impact acceleration test" conducted by a third party confirmed that the risk of serious injury was reduced to approximately 1/31 compared to ordinary hats (in the case of the KM-30 Head Guard Fit).

The head guard fit is approximately 2cm for the front, sides and back of the head, approximately 1cm for the top of the head, approximately 2cm for the optional cheek pads, and approximately 3cm for the head circumference pad.

Welfare equipment is often seen as something "special," but in today's society where the aging of society is progressing, it is not something special at all. There is a demand for products that have a natural design that blends into daily life, excellent functions, and are designed to be more easily usable. If you have an idea of what kind of product you would like to have, please feel free to contact us!
